Hi Guys!

We decided to integrate full iOS4 support before we release Jumpbot and we hope you can give it another try before we finally submit it to Apple?

http://www.kuyimobile.com/dump_here/jumpbot_rc3.zip

What's new?

- Built using SDK4
- Full support for iOS4
- Full support for iOS3.x
- Multitasking/Fast-app switching support
- Upgraded to OpenFeint 2.5
- Upgraded AdMob SDK for iOS4

Please let us know if it works on your iOS3.x or iOS4 device! Thank you so much! :)

Jumped in and out of the game many many times, once for a tweet, once to check mail, didn't try a phone call, but in the cases I did try, Jumpbot handled it like a pro, resuming right where I left off. Nice work! (tested on an iPhone4)

Sent this via email, but figured I should probably post here as well:

Me: It appears sometimes you can get into impossible situations that even skill can't get you out of, like your next hop is a tiny platform, completely occupied by spikes or three vanishing platforms all in a row, disappearing in unison, but not lined up in a row ( horizontally)

Erick's Response: The idea behind the game is that you'll never play the same game twice. Everything is random--from the background, to the platforms, items, levels, etc. Having said this, yes the game is a combination of skill and luck. We believe this will make the player keep coming back for another round. :)

I guess other players are getting very lucky with their placement, because every time I die to end a game, it's been in a no-win situation and I see some people on the leaderboard with scores 4x mine. To those high scorers, is it possible to jump up three vanishing platforms in a row w/o dying? ;-)

@jeff_low: Great to hear that! Jumpbot is one of our simplest games yet it has become one of our favorites too. :)

@otggamer: Whew! You have no idea how relieved we are to hear that! Thank you so much for giving it a thorough test! :) As for your suggestion, we may consider that on a possible update and probably include it in one of the game modes. Here are some playing tips to net you a higher score:

Thank you guys!

How about the others? Please tell us what you think about the new version! :)

This glitch was found on the App Store version of the Jumpbot 1.0.0

It is, however, a very cool glitch and potential game feature.

While I haven't been able to successfully replicate it after the first instance, I was able to have the Jumpbot app running approximately twice as fast as usual.

The whole app meaning every aspect of the app including the main screen animation of Jumpbot ascending on the platform and the whole gameplay itself including the platform speed, the Jumping animation, and the pause between jumps.

It happened after viewing the Openfeint leaderboards and achievement and quickly tapping the close button on the right upper corner few times in frustration as Openfeint windows respond rather slowly.

It might have had to do with the "Sound On/Off" toggle button positioned in the same place but I am not certain about that.

Now while unintentional triggering of such abnormalities should be fixed if possible. (Still not sure exactly what caused it as I was unable to replicate it) I think this will rather be a cool mode to have.

Have a toggle like the "Hint" button called "Turbo" and feature a separate scoreboard/scoring scheme.

I think it will be relatively easy to intentionally implement as well as giving experienced players new challenge, provide true "Pick up and Play" challenge for quick bite sized games, and satisfy the whiners on the delays between the jumps, as the "turbo" mode I experienced had almost no delay between jumps.

Will be looking forward to some feedback on this Bug Report/Feature Suggestion

Know what? This actually happened to me too but I couldn't duplicate it anymore. Were you able to? I'm guessing this maybe an iOS4 issue because I never had the same instance happen on iOS3. Yeah I couldn't agree more--a TURBO mode would be cool if we can only figure out how to "overclock" the OS! :)

Anyway, we made a few modifications and submitted Jumpbot version 1.0.1 to Apple, pending approval. :)
